The Eagles of Auchmedden
The photo is of the craigs of Auchmedden, now known as the Troup Head Bird Reserve, where the famous Baird eagles still reside, as well as the Atlantic Puffins, the Teals, Loons, and millions of other sea-land birds. Seals can still be seen swimming near the shore, the stuff of other Scottish legends, the Selkies/Silkies, which are said to sometimes come ashore, shed their skins, and come to live as humans for a time.
