Hello Baird family! It’s so wonderful to be a part of such an amazing group of cousins. I am so very thankful for the opportunity to also serve as a clan genealogist for Clan Baird Society Worldwide and look forward to working with everyone. I am also a descendent of “Old John Baird” of Monmouth County, New Jersey, through his son John Junior. For as long as I can remember, I was dragged every summer to my maternal grandmother’s “Baird Family Reunion”, held here in Iowa. I cringed when I was young, but as I got older, I slowly began to appreciate all of the family history that was shared each year and started to look forward to the following year. And thus, my “Baird Family Addiction”, was born. I have worked on family research off and on in some capacity since high school, though my more focused research has surfaced in the last 7-8 years, and developed into a website, research, and personally-created research tools, available at Branches in Time Genealogy. In the last 5 years, I have also delved into the realm of genetic genealogy and volunteered as an “Adoption Angel” for Wiki Tree Adoption Angels and AdoptionAngels.org, assisting adoptees with discovering their birth families. Currently, I’m working towards accreditation and certification in American Records and Scottish Records through the National Institute for Genealogical Studies, and plan to add a DNA & Genetic Genealogy certificate when the program is available. I look forward to getting to know everyone and hope to see you all in Scotland next summer! If ever you have questions, you can reach out to me on Facebook or email me at branchesintimegenealogy@gmail.com.

Greetings Cousins, near and far. Foremost, I am humbled and have graciously accepted the invitation to serve the Clan Baird Society Worldwide as a Clan Genealogist. Descended from Andrew Baird, son of John Baird of Monmouth N.J., our clan has held a special place in my heart since I was a young girl. I began my journey into family history research at the early age of nine, fortunate to have been mentored in traditional genealogical methodology from many elder cousins. I come to you with over 25 years experience. Having built my own family tree from breadcrumbs, it was not long before I began doing research for relatives and friends. I have worked with genetic genealogy since its inception to the consumer base. I have helped solve countless adoption cases and have served clients with a variety of genealogical queries. Currently, I study with the National Institute of Genealogical Studies, pursuant of certification in American Records, Scottish Records, and Forensic Genealogy. Additionally, I am working towards accreditation. More recent endeavors include my website, ravenoakgenealogy.com, alongside my YouTube channel, Ancestral Spotlight, where I highlight “ancestors a little less know” and offer educational videos about genetic genealogy. I am excited to work with members of our vibrant and ever-growing clan, so please feel free to reach out to me with your queries at: ancestralspotlight@gmail.com.

Need Assistance With Your Research?

All members of Clan Baird Society Worldwide are allotted two(2) hours of research time. There is ZERO charge! We're happy to help you work through brick walls, gain insights into your specific branches, and steer you through research methods and tools that might further assist your research. We work with traditional and genetic genealogy. Not all issues can be resolved within the two hour margin, so brick wall queries will remain an open case that we will work alongside you on, as time allows, until hopefully resolved.
