Castle Auchmedden

The BAHI (Baird Archeaological and Historical Initiative) documents the Auchmedden Castle ruins and supports  future in situ excavation by professional archaeologists.

All Archaeological investigations are done in accordance with the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Areas Act 1979

The Baird Archaeological and Historical Initiative or BAHI, is the arm of the Clan Baird Society that oversees:

  • The perservation of Clan Lands,

  • Heritage Sites,

  • Antiquities,

  • and Monuments.


The goal of the Initiative is to:

  • develop,

  • document,

  • and advocate for the preservation of Baird Heritage.


Supporting Members of the Society can become involved in the groundbreaking research and preservation of Baird History.

Society Members also have access to all of the materials, presentations, reports, and archive of the Initiative.
